Emily Bell
Emily Bell, Director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University, is considered a digital revolutionary for her role in the development and leadership of digital content at The Guardian in the UK, is one of the world’s foremost authorities on news and information on the Internet. Bell, who spent 18 years as a journalist and executive at The Observer and The Guardian in London, recently was named the founding director of the newly-formed Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University. Jay Rosen, PhD
Jay Rosen, PhD, is a professor and former chair of the journalism program at New York University. He is one of the most forward-thinking teachers in journalism education and is currently running the innovative Studio 20 program at NYU. Mr. Rosen is known for his advocacy and experimentation of “open source journalism,” which means tapping the knowledge of users in news sourcing and creation.
