Register Citizen to Host Livestream
Yardley, PA – The Journal Register Company, a leading local news and information company, today announced that it will host a livestreamed meeting of The Company’s Advisory Board on Thursday, March 24, 2011 beginning at 1 p.m.
Thursday’s meeting will be the first livestreamed meeting of Journal Register Company’s Advisory Board which includes Emily Bell, Director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University who spent 18 years as a journalist and executive at The Observer and The Guardian in London; Jay Rosen, PhD, is a professor at New York University where he currently runs the innovative Studio 20 program and his blog www.pressthink.org is one of the earliest and best destinations on the web for information and dialogue on the changes affecting media today; and Jeff Jarvis, Associate Professor and Director of the Interactive Journalism program and the new business models for news project at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism author of www.buzzmachine.com and the best-selling book, What Would Google Do?
The meeting will be held in the newsroom at The Register Citizen in Torrington, Connecticut – recently honored with the first-ever Innovator of the Month award by the Associated Press Managing Editors – was named to Editor & Publisher’s list as a “standout” for multiple innovations including the site’s new open, community-focused newsroom, newsroom café and livestreaming of editorial meetings.
