Digital First Media To Invest in Content, Advertising and Audience Development Tech Start-Ups

NEW YORK – John Paton, CEO of Digital First Media, announced today the formation of Digital First Ventures.
The new company, to be launched in the first quarter of 2012, will make investments in tech start-ups focused in the areas of content, advertising and audience development.
“At Digital First Media we have learned the value of partnering with start-up pioneers to power our transformation from print to digital,” said Mr. Paton who made the announcement in San Francisco at the BIA/Kelsey Interactive Local Media conference.
“Partnering is vital to a company’s growth whether it is an established media company or start-up,” Mr. Paton said. “We are going to marry our scale with start-up innovation to build success.”
Further details of the new company will be released in the new year.
