Journal Register Company Hires Vice President, Interactive Media
Yardley, PA – Journal Register Company (NYSE:JRC) announced today that Daryl Hively, a 22
year veteran of print and new media advertising, has joined the Company as Vice President,
Interactive Media. Mr. Hively comes to Journal Register Company from The E.W. Scripps
Company, where he was Corporate Director of Business Development for the Interactive
Newspaper division.
“Daryl’s leadership experience both in traditional and new media advertising, along with his strong
industry relationships, will be a great asset to Journal Register Company as we continue to drive
growth in our new media offerings,” said Robert M. Jelenic, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
of Journal Register Company. “One of Daryl’s top priorities will be to monetize the Company’s
proprietary hyper-local content as we roll-out our new multi-media online platform to all of our
clusters.”
Prior to E.W. Scripps, Mr. Hively spent six years as Director of Sales at Advance Publication’s
Cleveland.com where he played a key role in marketing online advertising to local and regional
clients.
Mr. Hively received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Advertising from the University
of Florida in 1985.
