Journal Register Company Holds Annual Meeting of
Stockholders
Trenton, NJ– Journal Register Company (NYSE: JRC) today held its annual meeting of
stockholders, during which James W. Hall, Stephen P. Mumblow and Burton B. Staniar were
elected to serve on Journal Register Company’s Board of Directors, each for a three year term.
Stockholders also approved the Amended and Restated 1997 Stock Incentive Plan and ratified the
appointment of Grant Thornton LLP as the independent registered public accounting firm for the
Company for fiscal year 2007.
James W. Hall has been a director of the Company since July 2003 and currently serves as
Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. Mr.
Hall is a private investor and consultant.
Stephen P. Mumblow has been a director of the Company since December 2004 and currently
serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Mumblow is President of Manhan Media, Inc., an
investment company in the media industry.
Burton B. Staniar has been a director of the Company since May 2001 and currently serves on the
Compensation Committee and the Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Staniar is Chairman of
Knoll, Inc., a global office furnishing company.
