Journal Register Company Holds Annual Meeting of Shareholders

 

Yardley, PA – Journal Register Company (OTCPK: JRCO), today held its annual meeting of shareholders, during which Laurna Godwin-Hutchinson and Joseph A. Lawrence were elected to serve on Journal Register Company’s Board of Directors for a three year term.  Shareholders also ratified the appointment of Grant Thornton LLP as the independent registered public accounting firm for the Company for fiscal year 2008.  

 

Laurna Godwin-Hutchinson has been a director of the Company since May 2005 and is currently on the Compensation Committee and the Corporate Governance Committee.  Ms. Godwin-Hutchinson is the President of Vector Communications Corporation, a public engagement and communications consulting firm in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

Joseph A. Lawrence has been a director of the Company since August 1997 and currently serves on the Audit Committee and is Chairman of the Compensation Committee.  Mr. Lawrence is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Qwest Communications International Inc.
