JobsInNH.com Employee Retention Survey Shows Significant Percentage of People Looking for a New Job While Employed
WESTBROOK, ME –JobsInNH.com today announced results of a comprehensive employee retention survey showing that 35 percent of those searching new jobs are currently employed. The survey was conducted through the internet with more than 700 responders questioning their current job satisfaction.
The results indicated that 45 percent of the people who participated in the survey may leave their current job in the next six months. Passive jobseekers are those who are currently in positions, but if “something caught their eye,” they would investigate the possibilities.
Topping the list for highest satisfaction in a job was teamwork within the work group. Health and medical coverage came in second in this same category.
Salary and opportunities for advancement were two of the top benefits that would influence respondents to stay at their current job, while 49 percent said a flexible 40-hour work week schedule is very important to them in making a decision to stay with their employer.
“The survey was prompted by our customers who have told us that, during a long period of low unemployment, it is difficult to keep good employees and find qualified ones,” said Dona Jewell, Director of Product Management at JobsInTheUS.com. “We wanted to find information that might help employers and employees reduce attrition. I think this survey information reveals that unique benefits beyond just good wages and healthcare will help achieve that goal for employers.”
The survey had a margin of error of +/- 3.4% and was calculated by the online service, www.questionpro.com. Complete results of the survey can be found at www.JobsInNH.com.
